Washingtonville Branch of Walden Savings Bank held one of their popular Customer Shred Days. The lines of cars and boxes of paperwork were exhausting and cars were lined up all the way outside of the parking lot for most of the day. Branch Manager Martha Jezi Barrera and loyal staff, got a good workout moving boxes and feeding paperwork into the shredder. President Derrik Wynkoop, came down from Montgomery to lend a hand, greeting customers as they pulled in. Hundreds of area residents had a great time. It was also an opportunity to say "Hello" and catch up with old friends, some of which have been loyal customers for decades.
The next Walden "Shred Day" is planned for Saturday, September 17 and will be held in Cornwall.
