County Executive Steve Neuhaus announced this week, "I am proud to recognize legendary former Washingtonville soccer coach Tony Martelli as Citizen of the Month for December.
Coach Martelli was recognized for his work as an ambassador in the soccer community for more than five decades and for his generosity running the Washingtonville Soccer Shop. He is a true gentleman and is beloved by everyone in the soccer community.
I enjoyed spending some time with Tony and Nirvana FC coach Bobby Czumak at the soccer shop on Tuesday morning. Coach Czumak nominated Coach Martelli for Citizen of the Month"
