.

On Thursday, August 8, the Event Committee had its Pre-Fall Major Planning Session at the Village Hall. To say it was productive is a major understatement. And we had the honor of important new committee members attending - Daniel Sloane (second on the right in the blue-green tee), the Owner of the brand new Prizmatica, a unique Home Decor, Art & Design Marketplace and Design Studio was there and joined in on the creative planning process along with Jorge (front right), a professional photographer and artist. This entire Town and Village is waiting with their breath held for their Grand Opening at the former historic Chase Bank building in Washingtonville's Village Center (Main St.-Rt 94 and Route 208/South St.). The exact date, is not yet officially announced, as they have been very busy refinishing the interior of this classic Hudson Valley Stone Landmark Building in the in the Village Center. Lots of news coming soon as this game-changing enterprise develops and helps Washingtonville become the artistiic, creative and Tourism friendly place envisioned for the future. Shhh...it's not official yet, but if renovations continue at the current pace Daniel thinks Prizmatica will be a participant in Witchingtonville 2024, and "OH MY", did they ever come up with a couple of cool ideas". STAY TUNED1
Fall Into Winter Table Of Village Eventss Committee
Is Seeking Volunteers
Fall is coming in the blink of an eye, and as just about all Washingtonvillians know, and many people from outside of the Village have learned the past few years, things start really "Hopping" here in the Fall. These Events don't just happen. It requires coordination of dozens of Event Committee members, volunteers, the Department of Public Works and Police traffic management to make it all work smoothly There are props to make, decoration of the 'Ville, shop owners, vendors to contact, banners to make, and so much more. It doesn't happen in days or even weeks. In fact, the Event Committee already has some surprises up their sleeve for Christmas and it's famous "Whoville"
The Committee has 4 events already coming up, and that's only the start of new things they are working on with the Village for Fall!
But before we get to the big Holidays, the team has spent months organizing a Harvest Market & Yard Sale for the last weekend of September (9/28 -29) from 8AM to 2PM.
FARMERS HARVEST MARKET AND ARTISAN FAIR

This pre-Thanksgiving celebration of the bounty from this year's harvest (and there was plenty due to the help of more than a little rain), but there will be much more than food . A long list of Artisans and other Vendors have already joined the festivities list.
Meanwhile the Event Committee is also knee deep in plans for Witchingtonville. It would mean the world to these gals and guys who work their hands and feet and souls to the limit to bring some JOY to the Village residents and visitors.
So, who among you can participate in planning the partying for a Fall through Christmas funfest.
Remember last year's Witchingtonville?
Last year guests came to participate in the fun in the thousands for each event and the Village came in 3rd in the Hudson Valley Chronogram Events Contest.
Courier Journal was there, and this is the awesomeness of what it was like.

The scene had an incredible collection of WITCHES! ... Fun Witch, BAD Witch, Good Witch, Beautiful Witch, Ugly Witch, and even a Roller Derby Witch. You name it. How fun is it going to be this year with a Witchingtonville-wide Costume Contest.

AND OF COURSE THERE WAS A MONSTER CLOWN!

These events can bring Washingtonville into the amazing "Future: that you want for this community, or not. It depends on whether everyone who cares steps up to make it happen.
