Cornwall Supervisor, Josh Wojehowski

Will focus on streamlining government operations, affordability issues and improving quality of life for residents in his next term

Since taking office in 2022, Wojehowski has focused on smart economic development, Main Street revitalization, affordability, and addressing critical infrastructure issues. Under his leadership, Cornwall has adopted bipartisan budgets, improved emergency services and public safety, and secured funding for projects that enhance the town’s resilience to severe weather.  His commitment to transforming Cornwall into a vibrant, business-friendly town while protecting its natural resources has earned him widespread respect.

Josh Wojehowski, a lifelong Cornwall resident and former small business owner, has dedicated his career to public service and community development. After a successful tenure in New York City government and nonprofit leadership, he returned to Cornwall and, in 2019, was elected to the Town Council. Two years later, he successfully challenged the entrenched incumbent to become Town Supervisor, bringing much-needed change and revitalization to the community.  In his last election in 2023, he defeated his opponents with strong double digit margins, drawing wide support from across the community and building upon his results from 2021.

“The moment we are in requires a clear vision for the future and a common-sense, solutions based approach to governing.  I am committed to making sure that our kids and future generations can afford a home here, that seniors who have built our community can remain in Cornwall, that we maintain critical services and preserve and protect our quality of life,” said Wojehowski.

“Local leaders don’t get the luxury of burying their heads in the sand or ignoring problems. We must work together, forge relationships, balance budgets and advocate for resources to move our communities forward,” said Wojehowski. We have made significant progress in Cornwall since 2022, but there's still much to be done to address affordability, protect our natural resources and invest in the future. I look forward to continuing to serve the community and making everyday count at Town Hall."
