Saturday's Crowd at the front door ready and eager to exercize
What a pleasure to see a bright new space lighting up a section of the
Brotherhood Plaza. And if you wanted to attract Washingtonville kids, teens and their parents, how about a superbright gold and blue WIZARD decor.
Always cheery and helpful staff nearby
Whether it's machine exercize you're looking for, strength, flexibility, group exercizes, tossing about big jolly balls, or personal fitness training with Juli, they offer it at "Body by Juli". Several of their machines are imposing, but can be used for small, medium or big and challenging workouts.
Then there's something about Juli Reitzes, her husband Colton, and their crew of fitness facilitators that is really appealing. Maybe it's the success and following she has already experienced with her fitness groups in Rockland County and the exceptional rapport she has with her staff. That they do "Group Fitness" tends to encourage the feelings of togetherness and friendship as well. Maybe its her understanding of whole health and the advantages of various fitness regimes. Maybe a lot of the enthusiasm is catching from her, her team, and their already growing new collection of people looking for ways to live a healthier lifestyle
When I stopped in on Friday evening they were offering free sessions, and there were already a few small groups starting. Juli said it had been much busier during the afternoon.. By Saturday morning, there was a veritable crowd just inside the door, laughing and grinning from ear to ear. Staff was preparing for sessions planned for the 11am Kids Group. The feeling was electric, and you can see that in the smiles on everyone's faces.
Health and related quality of life are two of the main issues for most people these days. Especially after surviving the COVID Pandemic, people know how important it is to eat and exercise right in order to keep their immunity up. And then there is the long string of other benefits: feeling good, looking good and being appreciated for staying in shape, better mental acuity, being able to participate in activities you might not otherwise be strong or lithe enough for. And that's just a start.
As Juli's fitness business grows, the Courier Journal hopes to share some stories of the patrons' personal progress toward goals that they feel encouraged by, and the reactions they have received from friends and family.
This very young fella's dad and I quipped
"Well, you're never too young to work on being healthy!"
