NASA astronaut Dr. Donald Thomas was the keynote speaker Cat the Greater Hudson Valley Council, BSA Celebration of Scouting on Thursday night at West Point.
Dr. Thomas flew on four different space shuttle missions and spent 44 days in space, completing nearly 700 orbits of the Earth. During his presentation, Dr. Thomas discussed his lifelong journey to become an astronaut and what it was like living and working in space.
My son and I were honored to meet Dr. Thomas and listen to some of his amazing experiences.
